Commencing at the Brno GP, Gino Rea Race Team will be joining forces with Montaze Broz Racing Team, a Czech Republic team that currently race in the European Superstock 600 championship. Gino Rea Race Team, nicknamed "GRR8T" will now be known as the Gino Rea Montaze Broz Racing Team. The team will have a brand new design, including bike, leathers, truck and team clothing and will continue to use the FTR Moto2 machine. Successful shakedown test of 2013 FTR Moto2 bike for Rea

Gino Rea recently completed a successful shakedown test of the newly built FTR M213 Moto2 bike. Missing the pre-season tests and the first 3 Moto2 Championship rounds meant a long off-season for Gino, but now it's his turn to ride!
Gino Rea tests FTR Moto2 bike at Almeria with ESGP

After agreeing to ride with the ESGP Moto2 Team, Gino went to Almeria to test with them and FTR. The test was to try the different spec FTR Moto2 bikes to get an approach on the 2013 bike. Rea was also working with the ESGP crew chief and team members.
Gino goes back to his Superstock days and has fun on his CBR600rr at an Almeria trackday. Onboard cameras catch Gino having fun getting his elbow down. Read more for the video!

Gino Rea loses Moto2 ride as ESGP Team abandon plans before season start

Gino Rea has been left without a ride after the new ESGP squad abandoned plans to race in the Moto2 world championship.
Rea, a former World Supersport race winner, switched to Moto2 with Gresini last year, the highlight of which was a podium at Sepang.
Rea had agreed to ride with the team and before Christmas.

Gino Rea came within half a lap of victory at Sepang today but he was happy to settle for a first ever Moto2 podium finish when the race was red flagged after he took the lead in torrential rain. Third place is a welcome reward for a tough season so far for the British rider and he can now look ahead to the final two races.
